Picture Books for Women's History Month

March 4, 2025

March is Women's History Month, and we're celebrating bold and trailblazing women by highlighting great picture books to share at home and in the classroom.

Rectangular image with lilac background. Text reads "Celebrating Women's History Month." Includes illustrations of a diverse group of women. Women are in profile.

What have we curated from the library catalog? Well...

We have books perfect for preschool read-alouds.

We have books about women and girls who dared challenge the status quo of the day, starting right here in Nashville.

We have books featuring icons of the women's movement.

We have books about pioneering women in all kinds of fields.

We have books about girls who bravely spoke up when others thought girls should do anything but.

And we have a wonderfully accessible introduction to the fight to pass laws advocating for the greater inclusion of women and girls into all the places they deserve to be.

Looking for more books? Check out our catalog widget below. We have books about changemaking artists, journalists, architects, scientists, public officials, and more.
