December 3, 2024

Now that December has officially begun, there is bevy of holiday programming afoot at NPL! If you are looking for things to do with the children in your life, our staff has your back, with plenty of family-friendly offerings scheduled.

Feel free to explore all events on our calendar. Or keep reading here for some select holiday programming highlights.

Make your plans to attend soon, as we kick it off with a very busy week!

Inglewood

The Inglewood branch is having a Sweater Weather Social this Thursday, December 5 at 3:30 PM. There will be warm beverages and crafts on hand for the whole family to celebrate the beginning of the winter season.

Thompson Lane

All are welcome to attend Thompson Lane Branch's third-annual Holiday Happening! There will be crafts, snacks, and a visit from Mrs. Claus and Santa. Can you believe it?! There will also be a reading of "'Twas the Night before Christmas," holiday songs, and more!

Bordeaux

Come celebrate the annual Festival of Lights at the Bordeaux branch! The whole family can enjoy food, crafts, and a tree lighting ceremony at 6:00 PM.

Madison

Children ages 0 to 9 might particularly enjoy the Fourth Annual Merry Madison Matinee. The fabled Madison Branch story time room will be turned into a winter wonderland for attendees to enjoy holiday movie classics, musical sing-alongs, a dramatic reading of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas," and more!

Hermitage

Also celebrating for the fourth year in a row, the Hermitage Branch will have its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting! The tree will be lit at 6 PM, but festivities begin at 4 with performances from local artists, an ornament workshop, and pictures with Santa!

Main Library

This Saturday, December 7 is a BUSY day at our Main Library downtown! Not only are we having our Main Library Holiday Book Sale Extravaganza from 9 AM to 5 PM, we are also having a Snow Day at the Library!
