This Friday and Saturday we bring back “A Child’s Calendar” – a lovely puppet play based on the book of poems by John Updike. A special treat for the whole family! Show times are 10:30 and 11:30 in our Children’s Theater.

Storytimes and Mother Goose on the Loose!

Oh, my! Join Library Pete, the Professor, Cedric the Dragon and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 in our Children’s Theater.

On Wednesday we also have “Mother Goose on the Loose” – a fun-filled interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets and more; presented by our award-winning “Bringing Books to Life” group. Sessions are at 9:30 and 10:30 and limited to 15 adult participants (with kids in tow, of course)! In our Arts and Crafts Room.

Nest weekend we bring back “A Child’s Calendar” – a puppet play based on the book by John Updike.

Our Final Week of Ellingtown and Sleepy Hollow!

This week we end the run of our musical show “Ellingtown” – based on the music of Duke Ellington and produced with the Nashville Jazz Workshop. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 10:30, and 11:30 in the second floor Children’s Theater.

Also this weekend we finish our run of “Spine-chilling Puppet Shows” with our presentation of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving. Follow the antics of superstitious Ichabod Crane as he comes head-to-head with the Headless Horseman. This show is for ages 8 and older only, please! Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 4:00 PM!

Oh, my! Join Library Pete, MaryMary, JJ the Lamb and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30.

This Wednesday, October 5th at 9:30 and 10:30 our award-winning “Bringing Books to Life” group will be hosting their monthly “Mother Goose on the Loose” in our Arts and Crafts room. Space is limited to 15 adult participants with kids in tow.

Oh, my! Join Library Pete, the Professor, Cedric the Dragon and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30.

This Saturday the 24th we have a visit from Bruce Amato the magician in our 2nd floor Children’s Theater – show times are 10:30 and 11:30. On the same day the Nashville Ballet will visit with their performance of “Anne Frank” – show times are 1:00 and 2:30 in our first floor Auditorium. Because of the seriousness of this topic this program is for middle school age students and older, please!

We will be back with our popular puppet play “Ellingtown” on the 29th. All of our shows are free and super-terrific!

This is our final weekend of “Scenes and Songs” – also know as “Sing Along with Wishing Chair!” A fun, musical break in the day with old puppets, Broadway tunes, and a new song by Library Pete. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 10:30, and 11:30 in the second floor Children’s Theater.
