Storytimes This Week!
Oh, my! Join Library Pete, MaryMary, JJ the Lamb and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30.
On March the 9th we will bring back “The Tempest” – based on the Shakespeare play but simplified for young audiences. This is a special production that uses the wonderful Tichenor Marionettes. Tom Tichenor is the man who started the puppet program at the library back in 1938. Show times are 10:30 and 11:30 on Fridays and Saturdays from the 9th to the 31st of March.

Pied Pipers and Anansi the Spider!
Oh, my! Join MaryMary, JJ the Lamb, Cedric the Dragon and the Professor at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30.
The Pied Pipers of Harding University will be joining us for the 10:30 and 11:30 Storytime on Wednesday this week; they are a traveling improvisational children’s troupe from Arkansas! It sounds like a lot of fun!
Then this weekend we end the run of our marionette show “Anansi the Spider” – based on the African Folk Tales of Anansi the Trickster. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 in the second floor Children’s Theater.

This week we continue the run of our award-winning puppet show “Anansi the Spider” – based on the African Folk Tales of Anansi the Trickster. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 in the second floor Children’s Theater.

Mother Goose, Anansi, Kidflix, Ellingtown, and the Nashville Ballet!
Oh, my! Join Library Pete, the Professor, Cedric the Dragon and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30.
On Wednesday “Mother Goose on the Loose” will be presented by our award-winning Bringing Books to Life team – a fun-filled interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets and musical instruments. Space is limited to 15 adult participants. In the Children’s Division Orientation room at 9:30 and 10:30!
This week we continue the run of our puppet show “Anansi the Spider” – based on African folk tales of Anansi the Trickster. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 in the second floor Children’s Theater.
Also on Saturday the Nashville Ballet returns with the show “Aesops Fables” – an engaging children’s ballet that features four popular tales by the famous storyteller. In the first floor auditorium.
Then, at 12:30 on Saturday the 4th we present Disney’s film “The Princess and the Frog” in the first floor conference center – our Kidflix for this month!
And that’s not all! Our Puppet Truck will be at the Edmondson Pike on Saturday the 4th with our production of “Ellingtown!” based on the music of Duke Ellington. The show begins at 3:30 – it’s great fun!

This Week – Coal Train Railroad in Concert and Swingin’!

This week we welcome back Coal Train Train and they are swingin’! They play jazz songs written for kids – but we guarantee the grown-ups will be dancing along, too! Fantastic vocals and top-notch musicians make up this world-class band. Friday and Saturday at 10:30 and 11:30 in our second floor Children’s Theater!

We have a wonderful musical Storytime planned as Coal Train Railroad visits and plays their wonderful Jazz music! They are terrific – you don’t want to miss them!
