Wrapping Up Summer And Ninja Storytime
Oh, my! What a busy summer it’s been! Between the Puppet Festival, Summer Reading, and a family trip to Barkingham Palace, it sure flew by! I hope your summer was just as fun!
Did you see what my friend Library Pete had up his Gi sleeve at Story Time last week? He spin-kicked and karate chopped his way through the book Three Ninja Pigs by Corey Rosen Schwartz. It was really fun! If you liked that book, you might really like these too:
Nighttime Ninja, by Barbara DaCosta tells the story of a pajama-clad ninja who is taken down by the arch nemesis of every bedtime-evader: Mom.
The Boy Who Cried Ninja by Alex Latimer is a fun book about a boy who had to take the fall for all sorts of household calamities until he proved to his parents the blame fell on the time-traveling monkey, sun-burned crocodile, and of course—the ninja.
Finally, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs by A. Wolf, as told to Jon Scieszka reminds us there are always two sides to every story, and this is the side of the oft-mislabeled Big Bad Wolf. Once he explains that this whole thing was just one big misunderstanding, he doesn’t seem like such a bad guy – maybe those ninja pigs should have taken it easy on him after all!
It is always so great to see you at Story Time! Don’t forget they are every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30. Also, Tall Tale Circus returns August 23!
All our shows are free and super-terrific!
