Magic, Midsummer and Many Moons!

Oh, my! Join Library Pete, MaryMary, JJ the Lamb and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30. There will also be a Kid Kraft in the Arts and Crafts room from 10:00 – 12:30.

On Wednesday “Mother Goose on the Loose” will be presented by our award-winning Bringing Books to Life team – a fun-filled interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets and musical instruments. Space is limited to 15 adult participants. In the Children’s Division Orientation room at 9:30 and 10:30!

On Thursday at 10:30 we welcome Magician Scott Cantrell, who will share astonishing and hilarious comedy magic as well as an incredible juggling routine!

This week we bring back our largest production – “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” – based on the play by William Shakespeare. This show is 70 minutes long and is recommended for those 6 and older – crafts will be available at the same time for those younger than 6.  Show times are Friday and Saturday at 10:30, in the second floor Children’s Theater.

And that’s not all! Our Puppet Truck will be at the Edmondson Pike Branch on Saturday at 10:30 and at the East Branch at 2:00 – presenting “Many Moons” based on the book by James Thurber and featuring the fabulous Peeko Puppets.

All of our shows are free and super-terrific!
