The Perks of Being a Wallflower

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a movie I really thought was good. I have not read Stephen Chbosky’s book, yet, but I heard such good things about both it and the movie that I wanted to at least check one of them out. And the movie had that Harry Potter chick, so I figured why not.

The thing I enjoyed most was the solid story-telling and the characters were pretty easy to identify with. Yes, there were some darker moments, but the movie didn’t sink into them and wallow. They were what they were; life is what it is. You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and then you have…The Facts of…  Oh wait. Wrong show.

Anyway, this really was an enjoyable movie. Come for the great cast and story. Stay for the repeated Rocky Horror references.

Happy watching…

:) Amanda

You must read the book! Author Stephen Chbosky adapted and directed the film based on his novel, so you can be safe consuming both:)
