Life of Pi Teen Contest 2013 - Example DrawingYou are about to start a journey across the sea on a raft with a tiger. What would you need? Design your raft and list 10 must-have supplies. Let your imagination run wild!

Create a drawing or short essay inspired by Life of Pi and submit your entry to Nashville Public Library Foundation for a chance to win an iPad mini or Parnassus Books Gift certificate.

Entries can be drawings, short essays, or mixed media and will be judged on creativity and relevance to the novel, Life of Pi.

Contest Details

  • Entries accepted March 10 – April 5.
  • Open to Davidson County students in grades 7- 12.
  • Grand Prize is an iPad Mini with three finalists winning Parnassus gift certificates.
  • Finalists will be notified and winners will be announced on April 12.
  • Contest judge: Between Shades of Grey author  Ruta Sepetys
